Keesha has always dreamt of becoming a skilled chef. One who floats through the kitchen with grace and effortlessly chops and sears and prepares meals that wow anyone who steps into her home, but she hasn’t cracked open her mountain of cookbooks in a while. Amy dreams of having her own business, one where she works for herself and makes her money so she doesn’t have to wake up at the crack ass of dawn to sit in a car for an hour while baking in the sun to only be yelled at by her boss for something she didn’t even do. She has all the energy to do it but has no idea where to start. Neena wants to finally learn a language so she can communicate with more people. She grew up with a stutter and talking was like climbing Everest everyday. But as she found herself climbing those mountains faster and easier, she wanted another peak to conquer and this cute person she has her eye on speaks Korean so why not give it a go, right? All of these dreams are wonderful to have but all of these lovely people have common goal mistakes that will hinder, delay or simply fail them on their journey to achieving their dreams. And it’s my personal belief that everyone deserves to achieve and conquer their goals but most people forget one or two important steps that are necessary for success. Because have you ever set a goal or held a dream in your heart that you tried to complete like having your version of a healthy body, getting a creative job, learning a language, saving an “oh shit” fund or traveling to that foreign land, but found yourself lost along the way or losing motivation? Well thankfully there is a proven way to set yourself up for success and it only takes an hour or so of planning and going through the seven steps below! Because once you no longer accept the unspoken “what ifs” of your untapped potential, you’ll finally be able to rise up and claim your divine power within! Join the goddess movement and finally FEEL what it’s like to be a goddess! Hello and welcome to the Goddess Energy Academy where I, Angel, help others awaken their power within to craft and create a life that is as beautiful and unique as the goddess that makes it. And one of the first steps to manifesting and keeping that life is the skill of properly setting up your goals for you to WIN! People have amazing reasons to start a goal, to become their ideal, to get a new job, have that perfect body, learn that language, take that trip, start that family, etc. BUT because they set up their goals wrong from the beginning, they have already failed. Too many people make their goals so big that they feel overwhelmed, or they're too broad so have no idea where to start or if they’ve made progress like Amy. Then there are other people who make goals because they think they need to but don’t really want it so finding the energy to go after it when they’ve had a bad day, quite simply can’t be found, possibly like Neena if that person is no longer her reason. Then there are the people who know what they want, why they want it but then don’t come up with an easy action plan, reward system or tracker to keep them motivated to stay with it, like Keesha. It might seem like a lot but spending an hour or two now will save you MONTHS if not years wasted on a goal that you didn’t really plan out or truly want. BUT my sweet, fellow goddess you are in luck because I have for you an easy guide on how to find soul worthy goals to go after and how to plan them for lasting success! With that said, let’s get into it! Remember that if you at some point on this journey no longer believe that this goal resonates with you, write down why, what you’ve learned and then go back through this process (it goes quicker once you’ve done it already and can skip a few steps 🙂) for another goal. It’s important to write down why and what you learned so you can come back as a refresher to see if your feelings have changed or to offer yourself some amazing motivation with everything that you’ve learned (even if it’s just about yourself)! STEP 1) Be Specific You have to be specific with what your goal is. You can’t just have “I am going to be wealthy by 2030”, what does wealthy mean to you? Is it 100K, 500k, 1 million? Is it in the stock market for retirement or in your bank account? Is it not money based but rather having a home, a car and an out of country trip each year? Is it to have food, clothing and a nice home for you and family? What exactly do you want? If you completed last week's guide on figuring out who you want to become then this is the perfect next step to taking those goals you figured out and now getting into the action part of the progression. Next week's guide is going deep into mindset traps and ways to handle becoming your new you. STEP 2) Why do you want it? Then write out WHY you want it? Keeping with the example above : Is having a million dollars going to give you peace knowing that you will be ok? Is having 500k saved up finally going to make you feel free enough to start that creative project you want? Would owning a home and having healthy food and clothes for your family finally give you that security and peace you’ve dreamt of? You need to have a good reason why besides “I want to feel cool” because feeling cool isn’t a strong enough emotion to make you wake up every morning, especially on bad days, and still get yourself to do any kind of work towards your goal. But if your goal is seeing the carefree smile of your child knowing they’ll be provided for or having the peace of mind to finally give your all to your music once you have 500k saved up so you can really see what you can do. Those deep meanings will keep you motivated in the face of a bad day, because we all have them, and instead of succumbing to those feelings, you have that deep emotional reason why you show up for your dreams even for 5 minutes. STEP 3) Timeline Goddess Then you start to add in a timeline. When do you want to achieve this realistically? It is possible to make a million in a year but it is VERY difficult if you have never done it before and have no idea what you’re doing. Give yourself a realistic one but not one too far out that will demotivate you. I like to have a 3-5 year timeline depending on how much I know about what I am trying to achieve but don’t let this discourage you because I make it easier to break down these big beautiful goals into ways to see amazing progress next month so keep reading sweet goddess. For example, I’m very familiar with health and exercise so I know I can “reach my dream body” within a year but I also know that my other health goal for achieving my black belt will take years. One of my markers on my timeline of achieving black belt is to achieve my dream body. A nice little 2 for 1 special 🙂 BUT WHEN YOU HAVE A 3 year goal, you then break up your big goals into : “I know I will make a million dollars in 4 years so by year 3, what should I have already achieved? Well I know I will have had to launch my product for a while because it needs time in the market to build up and gain exposure, so that has to already be done. I will have had a website by then too and social media accounts so that needs to have already done. I should be at the halfway mark so at the end of year 3 I should be making 500K worth of sales.” By going through this thought process you can keep working backwards to what you will have achieved by year 2 (product launched, branding set, start to make sales, etc) and by year 1 (prototype of product, starting and building SM accounts, etc). You’ll then break it down into what you should start working on tomorrow and have done by the end of this month. If you have no idea what that timeline would even look like, then an easy goal to get you started on today would be to go look up on google or youtube things like “realistic timeline and steps to starting my first business” or “realistic timeline and steps to becoming a private chef”. This will help get you an idea on what and how long it could take BUT TAKE it with a grain of salt because if this is your first time doing it, you’ll probably hit some hiccups because life is unpredictable. But because you already have your strong why, you know you will get back on track. OR you might surprise yourself and hit those predone steps wayyy sooner than someone else because you’re just that awesome. You basically are just looking for something to give you an idea to follow. For a health goal with a shorter time line, it could look like : “I want to achieve losing 10 pounds by the end of the year in a healthy way so I can go on nice long walks with my dogs and be able to have the energy to go out and travel without feeling overwhelmed.” So by working backwards you decide that by 6 months you should have lost 5 pounds and can now walk 3 miles with your cute pups. You then can start working backwards with “ok if 3 miles is in 6 months then 3 months will be a 1.5 mile which means after my first month I should be able to walk 1/2 a mile. So today I’ll go out and walk 1/8 a mile and see how I feel”. After starting your goals you might want to come back and adjust this timeline due to you overestimating or underestimating (I tend to fall here, but don’t let that discourage you my fellow sweet overachieving, rushing goddess, just come back and adjust lol, there’s no rush) On Sale On Sale Goddess Goal Planner & Workbook!

You are strong enough to allow success and love and beauty into your world. All you have to do is the work and it will be yours! I have complete faith in you and cheering for you to become whoever it is you truly want to be. STEP 4) Track Your Goals Now that you created a basic timeline and makers for your success on the way, start to think about how you want to track this progress. Do you want to track weekly, monthly, or maybe every other month? There is no right answer to when you want to check in on goals. You just have to check them. I aim for every week but realistically it’s to every other week. Life can be crazy so as long as I get everything done in those two weeks that I want, I take it as a success. Where do you want to keep track of your goals? Is it on excel or notion, a journal, google docs? You could even get a cute day tracker from a shop to plan it out. If you don’t do a weekly review of your goals, I wouldn’t suggest going out longer than a month in the beginning just so you can see if you need to adjust something if it’s not working out and to give you confidence in what you’ve done! Once you get into a rhythm you can push it out further but instant feedback in the beginning can save you a ton of time. Plus keeping track helps with the next best step! STEP 5) Milestone Rewards! Now the fun part, plan out a few milestones that you will reward yourself with for hitting them. Have it be in line with your new you and won't set you back. What I mean by this is if one of your goals is to lower your risk of diabetes, having your reward for hitting a happiness goal shouldn’t be an all you can eat diabetes attack meal. Maybe switch it out with buying a new piece of clothing that fits your new you concept or trying a fitness class or going to the drive-in movies! Or if you have a finance goal and buying something would set you back, maybe a reward could be going on a little homemade picnic date with yourself, your friends and or partner! Or plan a movie pj marathon night where you turn your room into a good ol fashion blanket fort! Use your imagination or simply go to Pinterest (my favorite place to get a million ideas lol). Being mindful of what rewards will help bring you closer to your goals or keeping you where you are is ideal and make sure to have it be fun and worthwhile! You also don’t need to have the rewards planned out ahead of time if that feels like a lot, for example, I had a goal that I wanted to stick with therapy and finally get over my current streak of 2x before quitting. So when I finally hit the 3rd session, I rewarded myself with a little trip to Target and found a cute clearance necklace that is in line with my new me and every time I wear it, I’m reminded of how I achieved that goal and feel a sense of pride to continue. Rewards are meant to be fun and satisfying but they also are there to give a moment to feel pride and gain self trust. Don’t just give yourself the reward, take a moment to appreciate what you’ve accomplished! Even if it’s just to walk for 5 mins each day. Making new habits and sticking to your own word takes guts and the majority of people can’t show up for themselves. Take giving yourself a reward as a way of saying thank you to yourself and feel how happy it is to work on something that will benefit your life. STEP 6) Motivation Next, figure out how to motivate yourself. Is it daily, weekly, monthly, on bad days, etc. This can be anything and more than one at a time. For example, I have a vision board for each of my main goals, i.e one for fitness (jiu jitsu), wealth (saving an emergency fund) and happiness (finding friends). WHICH a vision board is just a visual representation of your specific goals in picture form! Vision boards are stronger when you have a written out, specific goal that it focuses on. Having too many goals and aspirations on it can be contradicting or overwhelming or stressful because there is so much on there. It’s better to pick one or two things and stick with that until achieved and then make a new one for the next goals. It helps bring you focus on achieving one goal at a time. I know you want to complete them all as soon as you can but trust me, you wont achieve them nearly as fast or in general when you burn yourself out trying to achieve 10 goals at once. You can have it all, just not all at once. Besides vision boards I also have a song playlist that is focused around being empowered, working towards your goals, having fun and kickin ass. I have a few that I listen to from people on spotify. I also watch shows that inspire me to work on my goals whether it be for fashion, art, fitness, business or whatever. You can have a motivation video that you play for yourself every morning that gets you jazzed. Or a mantra you say at the beginning of every week. I love to also use subliminals that I make and that others have made on Youtube that helps program your subconscious mind to get on board. Basically anything that reminds you of YOUR WHY is key here. This is extremely important for the days where doing anything seems like too much. On those days, give yourself some grace and take the rest you need and think if there is something that you can do for at least 5 minutes. Can you write for 5 minutes or walk for 5 minutes or read for 5 minutes or take some greens powder with your cheat meal if it’s more health related. And I’m being serious here, just 5 minutes on those bad days BECAUSE by showing up for yourself for those 5 minutes when you just “can’t even” with the day, it gives you a little boost of dopamine knowing that you still made a little progress the day following. No shame, just gratitude to yourself. Bad days happen and burnout is real. Take the time to give yourself grace, rest and refuel, then come back with healthy, wonderful energy. STEP 7) Gift Yourself Some Grace & Keep A Journal Give yourself grace when you find yourself falling off the wagon! Creating new habits and sticking to big goals is A LOT and you will fall off sooner or later. Keep a journal to write out your thoughts as you go on this journey. Share your triumphant feelings on the good days, share what you learned, what you achieved, and write your thoughts and feelings on bad days. All of it is so important on your journey. I needed one to not only address limiting mindset beliefs but also to check in to see if this is what I still want and why/ why not? Also to just make sure that you aren’t over doing it or under doing it. Basically just a place for you to express how it feels going on this journey and a place to hype yourself up and also a place to be held accountable. You can go back on bad days and read how you felt on a good day to keep you motivated or after a few months you can go back assess if this is still worth achieving because maybe on your journey you found something that actually sparks your soul alive and want to pivot to that instead. Which is still a success because had you not tried going after your original goal, you might not have found this new passion. We are constantly growing and adapting and changing. And change is hard but remember that in order to get results you’ve never had, you need to do what you’ve never done before. CONCLUSION Setting up goals can feel like a long process but the more thoughtful time spent here will save you years wasted on poor, un-purposeful goals that you didn’t even want. By really getting to know yourself and deeply feeling and knowing why you want to achieve this goal or to become your new ideal you, you start to awaken your slumbering goddess within. When she wakes up, the life you will lead will be magnificent. One where you might find yourself weeping from joy and thanking yourself for taking the risk of betting on you. Remember to ask yourself, “what could I become and accomplish if I embraced the energy of the goddess within?” because I for one would love to see who you become. Remember that you are beyond worthy of anything you want in life. Let’s stick together and cheer each other on my fellow goddess! I believe in you sweet soul and until next time, I wish you peace, strength and hope. ~Love Angel
